people.io and its visionary founder, Nicholas Oliver, was a pioneer in the data privacy space – enabling people to own, control and monetise their personal data as a digital asset. We were brought on board when the business was just eight slides in a deck presented over as after work beer in East London – that turned into a late night brainstorming session! Our strategy was to grab first mover status in the discussions which were just emerging in the media and business world around GDPR and personal data misuse. Leveraging a founder with a brilliant mind, articulate and engaging style and undeniable expertise as well as a truly innovative product meant we were able to secure coverage across Tier 1 global media including the BBC, TechCrunch, the FT as well as speaking opportunities at conferences and panels across the world.

Highlights:

  • Widespread global media coverage across Tier 1 media
  • 150k users in the first month of launch
  • Investment from Wayra (Telefonica’s accelerator) and Founders Factory
  • Named in Marketing Week’s 100 Disruptive Brands
  • Our faces on a billboard takeover of Times Square in January 2017 as part of Nasdaq’s “Rising Star” Award in 2016
Heeeyyyy! I have an idea I need to tell you about" 😀 is not quite "Mr. Watson, come here - I want to see you", but the significance felt equally as important. Before a single breath had been uttered on my wild vision to give people ownership of their personal data, the very first person I spoke with was Fiona; because it was clear the challenge would not be technological - but whether we could find a way to get normal, everyday people, to understand why control over their personal data would play a crucial role in both their future, and the future of society as a whole. Fiona's strategic brilliance helped us grab first mover status in the emerging GDPR and data privacy conversations, transforming a complex technological proposition into a movement that secured coverage across BBC, TechCrunch, and the FT, speaking opportunities at global conferences, and ultimately 150k users in our first month. A decade later, I still receive calls from tier one media seeking my expertise on data privacy - a testament to the foundational narrative Fiona helped create when people.io was just an impossible idea in my head.

Indahash is a martech platform that connects micro influencers to brands via an app and SAAS platform. It allows brands to easily discover, evaluate and collaborate with creators working to a specific brief, control budgets and quickly evaluate success.  For creators, it enables them to self select paid product campaigns that resonate with their audience and speak to their personal passion and interests. Founded in the tech and business hub of Warsaw, Poland in 2016, it approached Goadi to launch the business in the UK and internationally. We targeted the business and marketing press with case studies and thought leadership about this (at the time) emerging technology. In 2017, the CPO briefed us on an “ICO” project, which led to Goadi’s first foray into the world of blockchain technology and Web3. The indahash ICO raised c$50m – making it one of the unicorns of the ICO world. To complete the circle of life, Goadi also managed communications around its sale and founder exit 2022.

Highlights:

  • Tier 1 media coverage including econsultancy, BBC, Campaign (Asia), Entrepreneur (Middle East) and Al Jazeera
  • Founder, Barbara Soltysinska featured in The Drum “30 Under 30”
  • Influencer media tour of Warsaw as part of ICO communications
  • c$50m raised in 2018 ICO
  • Successful exit in 2022
Fiona was recommended to support our UK launch and later our expansion into global markets, including Asia Pacific. From the beginning, she became not just a trusted partner but truly part of the indaHash team. Her insight and experience helped us gain a strong foothold in the UK marketing sector, which became the springboard for our wider growth.

She is exceptionally well-connected across marketing, technology, and business media, yet always eager to build new relationships. She also has the ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts – from blockchain technology to token generation events – and translate them into clear communications.

Whether it was organizing influencer tours, arranging media interviews in Asia, or joining us for two “big” birthdays, and even Poland’s famous Fat Thursday, Fiona has always thrown herself in with enthusiasm. Over the years, she has supported us across many projects, and I’ve greatly valued her commitment and energy.

Pavegen is an award-winning global clean tech pioneer. Launched in 2018 by Laurence Kemball-Cook the business is famed for its kinetic floor tile which harnesses the power of movement to generate clean energy, data and insights and engage people and places with climate impact and sustainability. Pavegen technology has lit up a dancefloor in Leicester Square, the road to the Champions League final, a football field in a Brazilian favela, London’s first carbon-neutral pub, the world’s longest linear walkway, MTR stations in Hong Kong. And powered USB charging sockets in a park bench in Telford! Goadi was approached in 2023 to manage communications around a crowdfunding campaign. Pavegen returned in 2024 for support in launching its game-changing Solar+ product – combining kinetic energy with solar in the Middle East. It was back again in 2025 for another crowdfund. In total the two crowdfund campaigns raised over £3.3m and attracted over 2.5k new investors. More projects in the pipeline – watch this space!

Highlights:

  • Over £3.3m raised across two crowdfunding campaigns
  • Tier 1 media coverage including City Am, The Times, Smart Cities World, Wired (ME) and Entrepreneur (Middle East)
  • Founder, Laurence Kemball-Cook, recognised as one of the “100 Environmental Technology leaders in the world” by The Tech Edvocate
  • Pavegen tech featured in high profile locations across the world – including the altar and dancefloor at Laurence’s wedding
As a founder, inventor and entrepreneur you need to be persistent, resilient and, at times, thick-skinned. As a business, Pavegen has ambition and likes to move at pace. Fiona shares those same qualities which makes her the perfect partner for us - and why we keep coming back! She can grasp complex concepts and translate them into clear and compelling narratives that resonate with our audiences. She is also able to seamlessly integrate with the team - managing multiple stakeholders with grace and humour. Coupled with commercial nous, this has translated across two successful crowdfunds and a new product launch (so far).

She is fleet of foot when it comes to media opportunities - enabling us to stay front of mind with key media, even between activity "peaks". Fiona doesn't shy away from hard conversations and always gives honest and constructive feedback and advice. I think "can't" is the only four letter word she doesn't use!
